Blogging & Random Babbling

I keep thinking of entries I want to add to my ‘blog’ but never seem to find the time to do them. Guess that’s cause most of my hobbies center around the computer and when I’m in front of one, which is like 15 hours a day, I tend to drift towards the bigger projects that are more visible and less ‘selfish’ than a blog. I mean.. what’s more important, promoting the folk concert I’m organizing this Friday at the UU church up here, doing WERU’s Full Circle Summer Fair web page and booking acts for that fair, setting up my cousin’s family photo gallery, updating and overhauling Bobbi Lane‘s way out of date website for her before it’s been a week since I told her I would, working on the Star Island Pelicans website or doing stuff for my own site. (Note all the above projects are gratis, if only I could learn to make money doing this stuff!)

Also, what with friends whose journals are fun and interesting to read, it’s hard for a geek like me to keep up with the more verbose literary and interesting Jones’.

So in an effort to nudge me into writing some more entries in my journal I’m just going to start listing one or two sentence summaries of entries I want to elaborate on some day, whether they are memory core dumps of events in my life that I want to record for posterities sake, or just ‘epiphanies’ I’ve had about things.

Also, I’m going to lower my criteria for publishing. Believe it or not to date I’ve deemed some entries too boring for public consumption until I refined them more.. and of course then I never get to to them or just toss them. So I’m going to start just letting ‘er rip, damn the torpedos, throw caution into the wind and ‘jump off the high board’.
