In mid-December I made 3 CD mixes for our (antioch92) 3 adopted Antioch first years, Jenna, Dayna & Brittany. I brilliantly got them in the mail (one mix to each) the same day they were all leaving campus. Duh.
So they will be finally receiving them either late-this week or early next week, depending when they get back to campus and to the mailroom. I don’t remember which one I sent to who, and I hope they exchange them with each other. (‘spose I should tell them that.) I suspect they will listen to them once, at most, and toss ’em in the free box, after all they are filled with weird spoken word stuff, Shel Silverstein, David Wilcox and other acoustic, folky obscure and completely non-trendy stuff. I’ve always had a knack for being completely ignorant of any fashion or trend, but these mixes pretty much have stuff on it that just about anyone but me will say WTF? after hearing.
All 3 cds are annotated below with links where I could find them and mentions why I added different songs to the list when I remembered why I put them there.
Note – I would be happy to send copies of these mixes to other Antiochian’s (or people of a similar ilk) who would like to hear them, just ask. BUT.. here’s the catch; If I’m going to spend the time making these sets of CDs for y’all, in exchange can you send me a mix tape or cd or something ? No requirements that it be a 3 cd set or anything, just whatever you have time and ability to make. If you cant, thats ok too, dont send $ or worry about it. But if you can make a CD, or if you’re old skool analog, a tape, then great, please send one my way in exchange. E-mail me for mailing address if you don’t have it.
