		<description>I was in your father&#039;s FIRST class at
HAstings, in 1969/70?

He was a natural teacher; liked, knew and
respected each of his students and was,
of course the object of many a teenage crush.

I  probably did 1 1/2 years of economics at Barnard because of him, before realizing that &quot;the dismal science&quot; was
dismal indeed, obtruse and generally not for me.

I will be dropping a condolence note to
your mother. I hope it is a consolation to you that your father, I&#039;m sure, is
remembered as a special person and teacher, by hundreds of students, myself included, from Hastings High School.
